I used some free postcard type cards I downloaded from Shabby Art Boutique (www.shabbyartboutique.com). If you sign up to her Newsletter, you receive darling freebies every month! She also has a wonderful Etsy shop with her personal artwork digitals.
I also had a great idea for making some sweet little Scripture pockets, a place for small tags with Bible verses, and some blank tags to write your own favorite verses on.
A person could give one as a gift in and of itself, or slip it into an envelope and mail it.
I'm taking all these projects to the consignment shop that sells my items, in Clatskanie, Oregon, about 23 miles from me.. It's name is NW Connections Trading Post. So far, things are selling well!!
Our weather is warmer this week. I'm so happy for that. It definitely perks up those winter blahs.
Until next time,............
Sending spring blessings your way!
Marilyn
My heart skipped a beat . . . I absolutely love all of these. The vintage cards are gorgeous and the scripture pockets are wonderful. If these don't sell as fast as you put them in the shops you have space at, something is wrong. 🌷❤️🌷
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie! Yes I do love those scripture pockets. Kris from Junk Chic Cottage is buying the 4 I have made! I'll need to make some more. I love searching for all the scriptures and verses, plus I make some of my own little cards and tags too. Have a happy week! xoxoxo Marilyn

ReplyDeleteYou are most certainly on a roll. These are the most beautiful cards! I love Shabby Boutique as well! I've gotten her newsletter for years. I love the scripture cards so much, what a wonderful gift they would make!!! I know these will sell!! Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marilyn! Yes I love what Kerryanne puts out. Her art is just amazing! I wish I could buy everything she has in her Etsy shop! I do buy alot! Have a wonderful week! Hugs... Marilyn
DeleteThese are so sweet. I love the scripture pockets. Do you sell these on Etsy? I would love to buy 4 of them if you have them up for sale. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteKris, thank you for your encouragement!! I can sell you these 4, as I'm planning to make more, or can make some in specific colors. I used papers in these that look like old wallpaper. Don't have any more of this paper, with the pinks, but have some teal blues from the same pack. I think I have your email. I'll email you! Xoxo Marilyn
DeleteThose are fabulous!!!! I've been learning to quilt! Having soooooo much fun 😁
ReplyDeleteAnne thank you! Oh yes.... quilting.... another Love I used to have. I still have alot of my fabric, but haven't made a quilt for a few years.I made a huge King quilt using thin strips of fabric that I had left from sewing for 40 years! That was in 2018 I think, and that was my last quilt endeavor. Took an entire year to make it! I still LOVE my fabrics though.. they are like old friends and I can't get rid of them. Maybe one day I'll get out my machine again.................... Marilyn

ReplyDeleteMarilyn, I been having problems posting comments to your site. I don't have a desk top, and my regular phone always has blocked me from commenting, so I've used my second phone...which recently died. This new second phone has been blocking me as well....until I tried using my Google account, that's my test post above. Is there a trick to posting a comment on blogspot.com?
ReplyDeleteKris, I received both of your comments. I think you do need a Google account or email? Not sure. I do comment on other peoples' blogs with my yahoo email. Blogger has gone kind of wonky it seems. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI finally got those two posted by using my google account to open a no-frills blogspot account. I'll use that from now on. I wonder how many comments you've missed due to those that wouldn't post. I don't give up easy.
ReplyDeleteIs the Trading Post across highway 30 from Safeway in the former Hump's? I was shocked when I drove by Hump's in 2017 and it was closed. I recently found out Hump's restaurant opened the year I was born (1960). I thought it was decades older. One tends to think of something they have seen their entire life, as always having been there, and always remaining there. Your cards are lovely.
Good to be persistent Kris! The NW Connections is a green bldg on the same side of the street as Safeway, just across the side road. It used to be a florist I think. I remember going to Humps years ago, when driving to the coast. I was bummed when it closed. Yes have probably missed a lot of people commenting. I used to get many more, but everything changed when Blogger changed things up. I don't think all of my subscribers even get a notice anymore, in their email inbox, so no one knows when I post! I've tried to make tweaks but aside from moving to WordPress or some other site, I'll remain mostly unseen I guess! I always appreciate your comments,! Marilyn
