QUEEN ANNE'S LACE PHOTO CARD.

I hope my last post wasn't overwhelming with the July specials!  But I just HAD to let you know about them!  Phew... now that that is done, I can show you the card I just made the other day using a photo I took.  The weather was so nice (well, at least it wasn't raining!) and coming home from town, I noticed some Queen Anne's Lace flowers all along the side of the road.  These are "wild" flowers.  I knew I had to get back there and get some pictures!  I went crazy of course, so here are a few photos I took.  The pictures just don't do the real flower justice, and a better camera is definitely on my wish list!

Aren't these just beautiful wild flowers? and they grow wild all over here in SW Washington.  I have been wanting to make a "photo card" so knew one of my Queen Anne's Lace photos would be perfect, since I love lace so much.  Here it is:

I used papers from the Lucy papers and added real lace from my sewing stash.  I also sanded on the photo to add a little bit of an old look to it, sponged the edges of the strips and tag with my Hollyhock and Cocoa inks and added a touch of glitter.

Close-up of the lace and glitter and sanded photo.

Inside of the card - double sided papers work so great for cards.

I used the Lucy Compliments Glittery rub-ons on the front of the card (little scrolls top and bottom) X7149C for $4.95.

Such a pretty card and of course, I'm going to make a whole set to use for summer greetings to everyone.

HAPPY PHOTO CARD MAKING!
